All guests require a ticket for entry. A lift can provide access to the main floor; please note this when confirming your booking and request assistance at the Visitor Center at the time of ticket purchase. There is no lift access to the second floor. No backpacks, large bags, or strollers please. The paintings and collections in the richly decorated, Eastern-inspired home illustrate the story of Olana's creation and its importance to Church and his family as a place of refuge and inspiration.

Combined Main Floor with Studio Wing, Second Floor with Sharp Gallery guided tour; Offered Tuesdays thru Fridays from June 19 until November 23, 2018. Pricing is being updated at this time, but will be in the $12-15 per person range. This tour lasts from 60-75 minutes. 48 persons maximum group size. All guests require a ticket for entry. This tour includes several steep flights of stairs and includes a look at portions of the servants' quarters outfitted with interpretive panels that describe the bustle of activity required to maintain the Church family's lifestyle. On the second floor, visitors enter the spacious Stair Hall Landing and from there can view Frederic and Isabel Church's bedroom suite and Ombra bedroom. The Evelyn and Maurice Sharp Gallery, also upstairs, will feature the exhibition "Costume & Custom: Middle Eastern Threads at Olana" on view June 17-November 25.
Combined Main Floor with Studio Wing, Second Floor with Sharp Gallery, SELF-GUIDED TOUR; Saturday’s and Sunday’s 2:45-4:30 p.m. from June 23th until October 28, 2018. Pricing is being updated at this time, but will be in the $12-15 per person range. 80 persons maximum group size. 2nd floor access is via the grand staircase only. On the second floor, visitors enter the spacious Stair Hall Landing and from there can view Frederic and Isabel Church's bedroom suite and Ombra bedroom. The Evelyn and Maurice Sharp Gallery, also upstairs, will feature the exhibition "Costume & Custom: Middle Eastern Threads at Olana" on view June 17-November 25. Last group entry is 3:45 pm. Touring ends promptly at 4:30 pm. For groups over 20 persons in size, entries of 20 people will occur every 15 minutes until the whole group has entered.
Main Floor with Studio Wing guided tour Fridays through Sundays through June 10, 2018, then Tuesdays through Fridays from June 19 through October 26, 2018. Pricing is being updated at this time, but will be in the $10-13 per person range. This tour lasts approximately 45-55 minutes. 96 persons maximum group size. For groups over 48 people, the group will be split into two back to back tours to fit everyone through the house, so factor in an extra hour on site.

Off season, we offer guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays and some Fridays until June 26, 2018. There is no self-guided touring in the off season. In season, from 26 June through 28 October 2018, we are open Tuesday through Sunday. We offer guided group tours Tuesdays through Fridays. We offer self-guided tours on Saturdays and Sundays from 2:45 to 4:30 pm with last entry at 3:45 pm. There are no large group tours on holidays.

Our best tour times are 11:00 am, and 2 pm, but we can occasionally book at other times if you are booking over a month in advance. When scheduling, please keep in mind that we ask you to arrive 30 minutes before your tour time to purchase tickets and to see the introductory film.

Very large groups may be divided into multiple entry times to avoid overcrowding. The smaller groups and the first of the larger groups will enter at the time below.

Possible Number of Persons with Accessibility Issues*

If you have persons requiring the use of our lift to access the main floor of the house, please provide the total number. The lift holds one person at a time, so we need to allow 3-5 minutes of lead time before the tour for each person requiring use of the lift.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your tour to purchase your tickets in the Museum Shop (Cash, charge, or checks made payable to “OPRHP - Olana SHS”). A single group payment is required to receive the group rate. Accomodating late arrivals is at the discretion of the site staff. Arriving after the start time for your tour may forfeit your reservation.

Once your tour is confirmed, your group total may not increase without prior site staff approval. We schedule guides based on this total, so it's quite important. Please notify us over a week in advance if your group size will be less than 2/3 of your estimate. Please note, should your final group size fall below ten persons, discount rates no longer apply, and depending on the demand for tours, we may combine your tour with the general public tour.
