Join us in Oaxaca for the annual Olana Tour to Mexico, February 13-20, 2012. This tour brings us back to the colorful Valley of Oaxaca, a safe travel destination rich in colonial architecture, ancient ruins, and some of the best food to be found in Mexico. Oaxaca is known as The City of Arts and our small group will stay right in the historic center in a quiet boutique hotel just steps from all the best galleries, restaurants, and museums.
The week long tour will include day trips to the world famous ruins of Monte Albán and Mitla, as well as to the San Augustin Arts Center, newly created in a vast 19th-century industrial cotton mill by Oaxaca's most famous living artist, Francisco Toledo. Other highlights include Sunday brunch at the private home of Mexican photographer Antonio Turok, a cooking class with Susana Trilling at Seasons of My Heart Cooking School, a Mescal tasting and lunch at a family-owned agave ranch, and much more.
The 2012 Olana Tour to Oaxaca is priced at $1,850 and includes seven nights at Hotel Casa del Soltano, daily breakfast and lunch, all museum and site entrance fees, ground transportation and a farewell dinner. For a single occupancy plan add $250. Both plans include a $150 donation to The Olana Partnership.
