Olana Tours for Individuals and Families
New York State Parks remain open. Access to Olana’s 250-acre landscape is free. The park is open every day from 8 AM to sunset. Please practice social distancing while you walk, keeping six (6) feet of distance between you and others. Please be aware that you are in a public park and follow protocols laid out by NYS.
Please note: The Main House is currently closed. The upper parking lot is currently at limited capacity due to construction. If the lot is full, you may park on the right side only of the main road.
This ¼ mile-long walking tour focuses on the integration of landscape and architecture in the siting and design of Olana’s Main House. The route follows the historic carriage road entrance from the site of Frederic Church’s painting studio, past the Mingled Flower Garden, to culminate in the dramatic planned approach to the Main House with panoramic views of the Hudson River Valley.
